When desiring chicken nuggets, one may instinctively proceed to McDonald’s. Conversely, Taco Bell may be the least appealing choice for you. Nonetheless, this may alter due to the introduction of “premium” chicken nuggets, with other new menu items launched this year by Taco Bell.
Beginning October 12, Crispy Chicken Nuggets will be available for order at Taco Bell. However, there is a stipulation: you must be fortunate enough to reside near one of the 83 designated places in Minneapolis that will be conducting tests for a limited duration.
At a media event at Taco Bell’s headquarters in Irvine, California, a Taco Bell staffer stated, “This is indeed a highly premium nugget.” It is not a chicken nugget patty typically found at some fast-food establishments. This is significantly more sophisticated.
The employee was probably alluding to fast-food businesses such as McDonald’s. Chef Brett Pluskalowski, a member of Taco Bell’s food innovation team, disclosed that customers have requested an increase in chicken-based menu items.
He also indicated that Taco Bell will utilize exclusively white meat in its nuggets, remarking, “When you go to McDonald’s, that’s not what you see.” This is authentic chicken.
McDonald’s asserts on its website that its Chicken McNuggets consist of entirely white meat chicken and include no artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives; nonetheless, there has been controversy around the potential inclusion of what some refer to as ‘pink slime’ or ‘pink goop.’
The chain emphasized, “Let us clarify: this … does not accurately depict our process for producing Chicken McNuggets, or any other menu item.” All of our Chicken McNuggets are crafted from USDA-inspected boneless white-meat chicken.
Taco Bell’s new nuggets are made with “real” white chicken flesh, marinated in jalapeño buttermilk, and accompanied by one of two new dipping sauces.
The initial sauce is the Bell Sauce, which possesses a slight spiciness due to the use of red chilies, garlic, onions, and tomatoes. The alternative is Jalapeño Honey Mustard, which fulfills its designation with a flavor that is sweet, acidic, and slightly spicy.
The nuggets are available in a 5-piece order with one dipping sauce at a price ranging from $3.99 to $4.99, contingent upon the location.
If you are quite famished, you may get a 10-piece order accompanied by two sauces for a price ranging from $6 to $8.99. If it aligns with your budget and you are in Minneapolis, consider trying Taco Bell’s new chicken nuggets today.
